Using Articles for Generating Traffic to your Website

by Brendan Will on January, 2009

Hey guys,

The author of a blog that I am currently following The Daily Dose Blog has challenged himself to write 500 articles by the end of February. That is a tough challenge. Something that I would not relish doing. I can image all these article will generate him a lot of traffic. If they only only generate him 10 views each from posting them on article directories that is 5000 visitors and if he re-purposes his articles and posts them on a couple of directories each it could increase his traffic exponentially. Submitting to 20 article directories would generate 100,000 visitors potentially just from the articles. The the effect on this guys moneys site will be longer lasting though through increased back links and high PR from authority sites. Plus any other site that may use the articles and further enhance the number of back links.

On one of his blog updates he discussed Ezine Articles as tool for generating traffic. There is something for you to consider when you write articles. Are you writing the article only for a back link? You shouldn’t be. Getting back links for the sake of making Google like you is wrong. When your posting any link your goal is for it to generate traffic. So what Bryan of ‘Daily Dose Blog’ has discovered that it is much harder to get traffic to your website from Ezine Articles. However he has found a new article site that ranks well in Google. The site is Buzzle. According to Bryan the traffic he gets from his 19 Ezine Articles is the same as 3 articles on Buzzle.
